Lisa Whiteman
Lisa Whiteman is the founder and Clinical Director of Resonance Podiatry, which currently has 8 clinics, spread across the length of New Zealand. Lisa has over 25 years in the podiatry profession. During that time, she has been instrumental in helping young podiatrists establish their own businesses, in financial, clinical and business mentoring.
Lisa has always stayed at the cutting edge of research and best-practice in Podiatry. Her clinics use the latest technology in assessment, gait-technology and treatment.
Lisa’s business acumen has seen her set up new businesses, create a technology start-up, called RunVibe and turn around struggling businesses. She has also established an organization to challenge the cookie-cutter approach of the New Zealand Education system and offer parents an alternative. One of her current projects is in personal development and mentorship.
Lisa’s drive and enthusiasm are unmatched. Foot Science International is proud to have had a long and close relationship with someone of Lisa’s calibre.
The Formthotics Excellence Award was added to the PodiatryNZ Formthotics Awards to recognize an individual, or organization which embodies excellence in every aspect of podiatry. From the patient experience to the way they treat their team.
Given the changes that are currently happening in the podiatry profession, it seemed extremely fitting that this award went to Resonance Podiatry, an organization that is leading the way in the quest for excellence and accountability.
This company has been through the Allied Health Service standards audit, not once, but three times! Voluntarily taking on the process of preparing a practice for audit, is a big ask. It can be costly and time-consuming. So, to do so shows a total commitment to improvement and a desire for excellence. This organisation is now at the leading edge of the profession as it moves into a new phase within the allied health sector, which you will be hearing more about tomorrow.
This organisation is all about customer experience and a large part of that comes by way of team training and development. For the patient to be satisfied, the podiatrists must feel fulfilled in their career, as well as having carefully honed skills, the latest technology and regular access to the latest research.
Below is Lisa's speech that sadly could not be shared at the awards night due to flight cancellations.
"Excellence is not a measure or a standard, but an ethic; a commitment to be better today than you were yesterday. It is also more than this; excellence practised is a habit, and a habit repeated defines who you are.
This award is for everyone within the Resonance Group; business owners & podiatrists; administration & support crew, who together make it possible for our entire team to do our best work.
Thank you all
It is also for our amazing suppliers, and the valued relationships we have with so many dedicated organisations and individuals who also believe in quality, and striving for excellence.
Thank you
Finally, it is for our patients who we want to do our very best for every single day. You are the reason we get out of bed in the morning. You make our effort to keep striving so worthwhile.
Thank you"
